Why 90:10, A little about Us

It started with three families from the Lake Travis area in 2010. We all were attending local churches and all feeling a Radical calling by God to change Status Quo.

When a church is started the first things we tend to think we need are, large expensive meeting structures,Where will I find my full time music pastor? A full time Kids pastor? A full time Youth pastor?A full time art and lights pastor?....

We are trying to change this status quo. The problem this often leads to, is a church that consumes debt, or the overhead is so great they are not able to pour the majority of their resources into the community. This leads to a 10:90 or at best case 20:80 Ratio.

At 90:10 church we want to reverse this. We want to be a wealth storehouse that is more like a river than an aquarium. We feel by actively serving God we will develop stonger love relationships with each other.

By working under these new guidelines, we are no longer worried about finding new families to feed a growing Building campaign, but to feed a campaign building on Austin's hope and future.
